A couple of days ago, after just a week or two, we had a major crisis of confidence in both our capabilities and my willingness to carry on with the whole Master/slave thing.
A few things were decided, more were left hanging.
What really went wrong was a lack of communication. brat turned into a zombie as soon as she was collared and because neither of us talked to the other about how we were feeling and what we wanted, brat ended up getting hurt in a way she really didn't like - psychologically instead of physically.
The problem, we finally hashed out, was this:
Not only had we stopped communicating, but it wasn't fun. At the end of the day, sex was what prompted us to try this out. Hot sex, animal sex where she'd beg to be caned and spanked as hard as fucking possible. Whatever we'd got wrong, it had lost its' sexiness - at about the same time it lost its' spontaneity. Reclaiming that is going to be the main aim of the next few weeks.
What's needed is a little more knowledge, a little less enthusiasm and a different way at looking at how we approach both the fun and the discipline aspects of our relationship.
Amazingly, she still wants to be a 24/7 slave (Between ourselves, I think it's just that she likes the collar I'd selected for her permanent collaring). I, on the other hand, don't think that's wise and as a result her daily tasks and spankings are on hold. After a bit more reading and a lot of thinking, I've come up with a few ideas that we'll probably talk through tonight.
This blog is too new for anyone to have missed it during the 24 hours I took it down, but we're back anyway. And maybe a bit wiser into the process.

Comunication really is the biggest part of trying out a new aspect of a relationship. Sean and I had the same problems too. But in the end, we both found that our blog was the perfect place to "break the ice" about a hard topic to talk about and then it's easier to talk face to face about it. I hope you both find that out too. As you rightly pointed out, you deleved into M/S to have even hotter, animal sex and if you're not getting that then it's not worth it. Here's hoping that it all goes well!
